FILTERED QUESTIONS

How do I book an appointment?
Use the enquiry form below or send a message on Instagram with your idea, preferred size, placement, and any reference images. Tattoo bookings are confirmed after the design conversation and deposit.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Tattoo bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment. If you reschedule with enough notice, the deposit can be transferred to a new date.
What styles do you specialise in?
Black and grey realism, fine line work, custom designs, nature-inspired concepts, and pet portraits are at the heart of the portfolio.
Do you still offer pet portraits?
Yes. Pastel pencil pet portraits are available in several sizes with tracked UK delivery, and multiple animals can be discussed as part of the commission.
Where are appointments based?
Tattoo appointments take place at Cavalry Tattoo Studio, 13 Bank Plain, Norwich NR2 4SF, in the city centre.
How much do tattoos cost?
Half-day sessions (3 hours) are £250. Additional time is £80 per hour, and full-day sessions (6 hours including a short break) are £450. A deposit is required to secure your date. For smaller pieces or custom session planning, send your details through the contact form so we can quote accurately.
What kind of inks do you use?
Professional-grade inks from reputable tattoo suppliers, selected for safety and healed consistency. If you have specific concerns about ingredients or sensitivities, mention this when you enquire so we can plan around it.
Do you do cover-ups?
Yes. Cover-ups need careful design planning to properly conceal existing work. Send clear photos of the current tattoo, plus your preferred direction, and we can discuss what is realistically achievable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel. If you need to move your appointment and provide enough notice, your deposit can be transferred to a new date. Last-minute reschedules usually require a new deposit.
How do I care for my new tattoo?
Keep it clean, apply aftercare as advised, avoid soaking in water, and keep it out of direct sun while healing. Full aftercare guidance is on the dedicated aftercare page.
Do you do custom designs?
Yes. Custom design work is the core of the process. Share your idea, references, preferred size, and placement, and we will shape it into a piece tailored to you.
How old do I need to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 or over, with valid photo ID at your appointment. No exceptions.
Can I bring someone to my appointment?
Sessions usually work best one-to-one so we can stay focused. If you need support, mention it in advance and we can confirm what is possible for your booking.
How do I choose a tattoo artist in Norwich?
Review healed work, not only fresh photos. Check style fit, consultation quality, and aftercare support. If you are choosing a Norwich tattoo artist for custom work, ask to see healed realism and memorial examples in placements similar to yours.
