About the artwork
A portrait should feel like them, not only look like them.
I work in fine art pastel pencil, building up colour and texture slowly so the finished piece feels natural and full of life.
Dogs, cats, horses and other companions are all welcome. I will help you choose the strongest reference photo and keep you updated while I draw.

How your portrait comes together
I will guide you through the photos, composition and practical details. You will always know what is happening next.

Tell me about them
Send a few favourite photographs, the size you are considering and any date you need the portrait by.
Tell me how many pets you would like in the piece and anything about their personality that you want me to hold on to.

Choose the right photo
A clear photograph makes a real difference. I will look through what you send and help you choose the image with the best detail, light and expression.
- Natural light: Daylight shows the true colour and detail in their coat
- Their level: A photograph taken at eye level usually feels more natural
- Expression: Choose the look that feels most like them

Drawing and delivery
Once we agree the photograph, size and composition, I will reserve your place and begin the portrait. I can share progress privately if you would like to see it take shape.
When it is finished, the remaining balance and any delivery cost are due. Your portrait is then protected, carefully packed and sent with tracking.
If the portrait is a gift, share the date when you enquire and I will tell you honestly whether I can make it work.
